Moon and her crew recently completed a voyage of over 3000Nm taking them north above the 80th parallel and deep into polar bear and polar regions Norway and Finland.
Now safely back in their berth they were happy they reported only one filter was used in the “fuel polishing system” installed on the vessel in October 2025 and berthed in a cold climate before the latest journey of a 3000 Nm voyage.
The system was routinely ran keeping the fuel dry not allowing the existing bacterial growth to again proliferate with moisture and cause further issues.
The filter change happened because the sea state had dislodged the remnants of growth attached to the inner surfaces of the tank allowing it to be drawn up the fuel pick-up and filtered from the system.
They also followed the advice of adding our supplied Fyrex C1 additive which is an organic product and follows our company ethos of leaving a ZERO environmental shadow through combined use with your technology.
The combine of PFMblue and Fyrex C1 returns contaminated fuel and maintains the fuel to the very much needed modern engine engine design specification as rapidly as possible, keeping positive results for 2 years, that why the combined process has Lloydes approval proven on one of New Zealand navies voyages from Canada to New Zealand after a very comprehensive refit.
